Argument Structure and Fallacies

• Item 1:

Analysis:
This is the poster of Very Me Lash Mascara - a product of Oriflame.
* Structure of argument:
If you use Very Me Lash Mascara, your eyelashes will become charming
If you don't use it
Therefore, your eyelashes won't be charming or they may not be attractive like this
       If A, then B
       not A
       Therefore, not B
=> Fallacy type: denying the antecedent 

• Item 2:

Analysis:
In this picture, there are only  two choice: you love bacon or you are wrong. It means that if you love bacon, you will be right and if you don't love bacon, you will be wrong. However, in many situations, loving bacon is still wrong or both loving and hating are wrong
=> Fallacy type: false dilemma

• Item 3: 

“Thần kinh không bình thường nếu không dùng Facebook”?

ICTnews – Theo DailyMail, vài nhà tâm lí học tin rằng những người không có tài khoản Facebook, hay mạng xã hội rất “đáng ngờ”, có khi còn “không bình thường”.

Daily Mail dẫn lời tạp chí Der Taggspiegel của Đức, chỉ ra những tên sát nhân hàng loạt như Anders Behring Breivik hay James Holmes đều có điểm chung là không lập tài khoản Facebook. Breivik trước đó chỉ dùng MySpace và Holmes thì dùng trang web tìm bạn Adult Friend Finder. Ở mức độ rõ ràng hơn, tạp chí Forbes lại đăng tải bài báo về vấn đề nhiều phòng tuyển dụng của các công ty đang “đề cao cảnh giác” với những ứng viên trẻ tuổi nhưng lại không có Facebook.

Daily Mail đưa kết luận của chuyên gia tâm lí Christopher Moeller: “Rất đáng nghi nếu không dùng Facebook... đó là dấu hiệu cho thấy bạn “bất thường” và “rối loạn chức năng”, hay thậm chí là cả “nguy hiểm””.

Analysis: 

Nowadays, Facebook becomes a popular social network all over the world. Therefore, many psychologists believe that if people don't have Facebook account, it is suspicious and even unusual.
