 Item 1:

http://www.cartoonstock.com/directory/f/four_legs_gifts.asp

* Structural Fallacies
- Analysis:

All cats have four legs
The dog has four legs
_______________________
Therefore, the dog is the cat

 Fallacy type:
            All S are P
A is P
_______________________
Therefore, A is S
The premises are sound but the conclusion is not true.

Item 2
http://logical-critical-thinking.com/logical-fallacy/appeal-to-popularity/

"7 in 10 doctors say acupuncture works, therefore it must work"

* Appeal to popular:

         - This argument points out that 7 in 10 doctors say acupuncture is effective. Therefore, acupuncture is actually effective. However, it is just conclusion that relies on a majority of opinions and there is no evidence to affirm that it’s absolutely exact.

Item 3

* False dilemma

- Analysis: This slogan points out that you only have 2 choices if you live in America: love it or leave it. However, there are many other choices making people have to live in America such as for family, for job or study… not just because they love it.
