ITEM 1

"Giặc bên Ngô không bằng bà cô bên chồng"

Type of bias: Stereotype

Analysis: The Vietnamese idiom is a fixed idea that many people have of the sisters-in-law. For example, they can behave very badly, even make a lot of troubles for their brother's wife. However, this view is not really true because a lot of sisters-in-law are very out-going, friendly and have good behaviour.

Type of Bias: Stereotype

Analysis: The bowler hat is the stereotyped image of the London "city gent". In fact, this type of hat has not been commonly worn for a long time.

Type of bias: Racism

Analysis: The policeman (who is a White) meets a Black on the street and tells him that he is going to be arrested. The reason is that he is the Black and the Black steal. The policeman  is really a racist.
