IDENTIFYING BIAS
ITEM 1
- Analysis: In this cartoon, the
employer shifts responsibility for the loss of the company this year onto his
employees. Especially, the employee in this cartoon who just starts working on
Tuesday (it means just a few days) has to “only” receive “haft” the blame. The
employer’s conclusion is totally groundless and unfair.

- Proverb
Con quan thì lại làm quan, con nhà
kẻ khó đốt than tối ngày.
* Stereotype
- Analysis: This
proverb shows misconception that people who are born into a wealthy and
powerful family will have a bright future, whereas, people who born into a poor
and powerless family just have a miserable life like their previous generations.
ITEM 3
- Analysis: The slogan of this
company is “equal opportunities commission”. However, what the personnel talks
to the woman is contrary to the slogan. In this circumstance, women are treated as if they are inferior than men in the same
work environment.

However, in the item 2, in my point of view, it is assumption because only based on limited knowledge about family, people conclude that people were born in rich family will become rich and people were born in poor family will have miserable life.
in my oppinion,in the item 2,it is discrimination because it discriminates between 2 wealthy family and poor family
