Item 1:
“All Irishmen do are drink and beat their wives.”
- Type of bias: Stereotype
- Analysis: the statement shows stereotype of
Irishmen. It is believed that all Irishmen are drunk and violent. However, in
fact, not all Irishmen do are drink and beat their wives, maybe some of them.
2, Item 2:
- Type of bias: Scapegoating
- Analysis: From the picture, we can see that the
boss gives an unreasonable state to his employee “from now on everything that
goes wrong around here will be your responsibility”. He makes a scapegoat for
his employee for any next company’s problem because he gives responsibility to
his employee so he has to do the job well.
3, Item 3:
- Type of bias: Discrimination
- Analysis:
We can see from the picture that the restaurant is only for the White.
Many the White felt that the Black were inferior because of their skin color.
This is concept known as racism. This is unfair to the Black.

Trả lờiXóaI agree with your analysis about item 2 and item 3. However, I think that in item 1 it is prejudice. because it is negative judgment when thinking that all Irishmen are drunk and violent, just some of them as you said ^^
